Oscar Romp
Oscar has collected records “of attitude”, mostly from the jazz, reggae, and soul genres, since his youth. Much of his vinyl collection has been test-driven by his own dancing feet on the UK soul, and jazz-dance club scenes. A resident DJ at South London Soul Train since 2013, he welcomed the challenge to create a set that prioritises reflection above the requirement of a club DJ to fill a floor.
“My motivation in making this set is to endorse the re-awakening of participation and protest, - as witnessed in 2020.”- Oscar
