The Listening Booth
Dave D.
“As a 70’s child, I grew up listening to Motown via yoof club culture. I’m not a massive soul collector however, owning 60’s and 70’s original soul vinyl, you realise you’re the safe guardian of them before handing them over to the next generation; their historic cultural significance is priceless.
Rob Ryan

“ I was mainly into new wave and punk until I was about 16 when living in Birmingham. I got into the whole two-tone/mod revival thing in 1979 so really got into ska and Motown, but in 1980 started going to Wigan and that was it, I caught the last 18 months. Not only northern but then modern soul, funk, seventies, gospel, etc and always been rooting around looking for new stuff to hear
Callum Flack
Callum is an amateur ex-record collector who has left the scene and currently lives in a tropical rainforest. Soul music still and always opens narrow chinks of his cavern.
Baz Atkinson
A North-East (UK) collector and dealer, Baz Atkinson is interested in all genres of soul music, and has been collecting rare soul since 1978. He’s a regular visitor to the USA and a big supporter of the current crop of new unissued releases!
